Parish News for 11th Week in Ordinary Time

June 13, 2024 by Churchwardens in Weekly News

This Sunday is the eleventh in Ordinary Time. Mark’s gospel recounts the parable of the tiny mustard seed which produces a bush 10 or 12 feet high. In the same way, the ‘Kingdom’ Jesus announces is not a worldly triumph; of its nature it has beginnings which are unimpressive by human standards.

Former pastoral assistant William Allen will be ordained to the diaconate on Saturday 29th June at 11am at S. Andrew Holborn. Please pray for him and also go along to support him at the Ordination Mass if you can.
S. Andrew Holborn is a short walk from Chancery Lane tube and City Thameslink stations and on the 46 bus route. All welcome.

Bee News
There are two new hives of bees in the usual place in the church garden. Aisling, our beekeeper, has kindly agreed to continue looking after the bees so hopefully we’ll have some S. Pancras Old Church honey to share. Aisling advises that being too close to the hives without protection isn’t advisable.
