Parish News for 12th Week in Ordinary Time

June 20, 2024 by Churchwardens in Weekly News

This Sunday is the twelfth in Ordinary Time. Fr. Paschal will be with us to celebrate the Nativity of S. John the Baptist. Luke’s Gospel tells us that his mother Elizabeth named her son John although it was not a family name. His father, who could not speak, confirmed the name by writing ‘His name is John’ on a tablet.

Bee News
There are two new hives of bees in the usual place in the church garden. Aisling, our beekeeper, has kindly agreed to continue looking after the bees so hopefully we’ll have some S. Pancras Old Church honey to share. Aisling advises that being too close to the hives without protection isn’t advisable.
