August 1, 2024 by Churchwardens in Weekly News

This Sunday is the eighteenth in Ordinary Time. Fr. David will be with us to celebrate Mass. In John’s Gospel, Jesus tells his listeners to look beyond earthly things. “Do not work for food that does not last.”

S. Paul’s Bring and Share Lunch
On Sunday 4th August there will be a bring and share lunch at S. Paul’s after the 11.30am Sung Mass. All welcome.

Gates at S. Pancras Gardens
On Tuesday 6th August, Camden Council will begin work to reinstate the main entrance gates and overthrow bridge at S. Pancras Gardens. The repair will take three days to complete and is scheduled to be finished by Thursday 8th August. The work will require a large vehicle with a crane to reinstall the gates and overhead bridge. The car park and entrance will be closed, and the car park will not be accessible from 6th August to 8th August. Please ensure your vehicles are moved by Monday 5th August to avoid any inconvenience.

Thursdays at 10am
There will be no Service of the Word and Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament at 10am on the following Thursdays in August: 15th, 22nd and 29th. Instead there will be coffee and chat for those in church on Thursday mornings.

No Saturday Mass
Please note there will be no Saturday morning Mass until our new priest is in post. There is a 10am Saturday Mass at S.Mary’s Somers Town in Eversholt Street. S. Mary’s is a short walk from Euston station, and on the 1 and 253 bus routes.

Bee News
Our beekeeper, Aisling Twomey, sends news about the bees. She says, “The hives continue to do well, and I’m hopeful we’ll have honey at the end of summer. If you haven’t been following our new blog, please do have a read.”
