Parish News for 3rd Week of Eastertide

This Sunday is the third Sunday of Eastertide. The Gospel gives us Luke’s account of the disciples’ meeting with the Risen Saviour. He says, “Peace be with you.” The disciples are frightened when Jesus comes into their midst, but He proves to them he is not a ghost and they greet Him with great joy.

John Haggarty R.I.P
Some of you will have known John Haggerty who died on March 25, aged 78. You are warmly invited to his Funeral Mass at S. Paul’s Church on Wednesday 17th April at 11am, followed by light refreshments. His cremation will take place privately. There will be a separate ceremony at a later date to commit his ashes to the ground at S. Paul’s, in accordance with his wishes. Please remember John in your prayers.

Solemn Mass of Eastertide
On Wednesday 17th April at 7pm, a Solemn Mass of Eastertide will be celebrated at S. Andrew Holborn, followed by a light supper and drinks.
S. Andrew is a short walk from Chancery Lane tube and City Thameslink stations,
and on the 46 bus route. All welcome.

May Devotion with Bishop Jonathan
A date for your diaries: our Bishop will be with us on Sunday 5th May to celebrate the May Devotion Mass and to give Holy Communion to those who are making their First Communion on that day. Please pray for him and for them as they prepare for the Sacraments.
Also on Sunday 5th May at 11.30am, Bishop Jonathan will celebrate the Mass at S. Paul’s Camden Square, followed by a bring-and-share lunch. All welcome.

Pilgrimage to Walsingham
The annual Old S. Pancras Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham will be Friday-Sunday, 14th-16th June, led by Fr. Guy, our former Assistant Priest. The cost is £240 in total. Please ask Jonathan for a booking form.
