Parish News for 8th Week in Ordinary Time

May 23, 2024 by Churchwardens in Weekly News

This Sunday is the Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Fr. Graeme will be with us to celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples, “Go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you.

Thank you Fr. Graeme
Sunday 26th May is Fr. Graeme’s last Sunday with us. We extend our gratitude to him for his caring ministry in the past few months. Thank you Fr. Graeme for the very special services during Holy Week and Easter, and your entertaining and thought-provoking sermons. May there be many blessings for you in your new post at The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. No doubt, some of us will see you there!

Bank Holiday Monday
The church will be closed on Monday 27th May for the bank holiday.

Reading Group
The Reading Group, led by Jonathan, resumes on Saturday 1st June after the 10am Mass. If you would like to join the group, please email Jonathan for the reading materials. It is essential to have read the materials before the group meets. jonathan.thompson@posp.co.uk

Also on Sunday 2nd June, there will be a Sung Mass at S. Paul’s Camden Square at 11.30am, followed by a bring and share lunch. All welcome!

Upcoming Sunday Masses
From Sunday 2nd June, Fr. David will be with us for all Sunday Masses until the end of July.

Bee News
There are two new hives of bees in the usual place in the church garden. Aisling, our beekeeper, has kindly agreed to continue looking after the bees so hopefully we’ll have some S. Pancras Old Church honey to share. Aisling advises that being too close to the hives without protection isn’t advisable.
