Parish News for Pentecost

This Sunday is Pentecost, the 50th day and climax of Easter. The Holy Spirit descends with wind and fire on Our Lady and the Disciples and they are empowered to be powerful preachers of the Gospel and so the Church is born, founded on the twelve Apostles.

Building Works in Church
The repairs to the cracks and restoration of the interior of the church have begun. We hope to maintain the daily Mass schedule and hold services in the narthex and Sunday Mass in church or on the courtyard. The works are due to finish by the end of August.

Corpus Christi
Sunday 11th June 9.30am, Choral Mass and procession of the Blessed Sacrament through the Churchyard, followed by fizz. Bishop Jonathan will be with us to celebrate the mass and preach. PLEASE COME!

Rector’s Annual Leave
Fr. James will be away on a short break from Sunday 28th May and will be back for Sunday Mass on 4th June. If you urgently need a priest, please contact Fr. Paschal.

Ordination in Brighton
Our former Pastoral Assistant, Thomas Cotterill is to be ordained priest in Brighton on the 4th June at 5pm and his first mass will be 7pm in S.Bartholomew’s Brighton the next day. Please pray for him.

Open Gardens Weekend
S. Paul’s Woodland Garden in Camden Square is participating in the Open Gardens Weekend, a London-wide event, on Sunday 11th June, 11am-3.30pm. There will be a pop-up café selling homemade cakes and cordials. Click here for details. All welcome.
