Weekly News

This Sunday we celebrate Corpus Christi, which means the ‘Body of Christ’. In every mass God gives us the gift of his Son in the bread of the altar, the most precious thing in the whole world! At the end of mass, a consecrated Host will be placed in the monstrance for us to adore and then it will be used to make the sign of the cross over us in the beautiful rite of Benediction when we are blessed with the Body of Christ – Corpus Christi Click here for the Scripture Readings.

Charles Christie-Webb’s Funeral
We will receive Charles’ body into church at 4pm on Sunday 19th June and the church will remain open until 6pm for anyone who would like to come and pray. He will rest in church overnight. His funeral mass is at 10am on Monday 20th June in Church. All are welcome.

Film Club
The next outing is Thursday 16th June to see the new Top Gun film with Tom Cruise. Meet at the Curzon Soho, Shaftesbury Ave, 5.45pm (for 6pm performance) cost is £12.50. Please speak to Sandra if you would like to be added to the Club’s whatsapp group.

Old S. Pancras Wine Cellar
Wine is served at many of our social events during the year and on Tuesdays after Mass (and is enjoyed by many of you!) Our cellar now needs restocking. Please bring any of your unwanted bottles or consider donating a bottle or two regularly. Hospitality is a vital part of our mission and outreach, but it isn’t without cost.

Keats-Shelley 200
A Gala evening of poetry read by Reeta Chakrabarti and music with string trio and harpist to celebrate the legacy of the Shelley and Wollstonecraft. Wednesday 6th July. Click here for more details.

S.Mary’s Eversholt Street
Our sister church has been closed for public worship while urgent repairs are made to the masonry. Fr.Paschal and members of his congregation will be joining us on Sundays for the time being. Please make them feel welcome.
