Parish News for the 18th Week in Ordinary Time

August 3, 2023 by James Elston in Weekly News

This Sunday is the Feast of the Transfiguration. In the Gospel reading, Jesus takes Peter, James and John up to the mountain top and there he is Transfigured in their sight. For a brief moment the three disciples glimpse the divine nature of Christ shining brilliantly though his earthly body. At every mass when we receive the Body of Christ in the form of humble bread, we too partake of God’s Glory.  Click here for the Scripture Readings.
