Parish News for the 22nd Week in Ordinary Time

August 30, 2023 by James Elston in Weekly News

This Sunday is the 22nd in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel reading, Jesus tells of the suffering and death he must endure in Jerusalem. When Peter objects he is rebuked by Jesus. None of us can avoid the crosses we are given to bear in this life, but in Christ we do not bear them alone but are upheld in his strength. Click here for the Scripture Readings.
