Parish News for the 23rd Week in Ordinary Time

September 12, 2023 by James Elston in Weekly News

This Sunday is the 23rd in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel reading, Jesus gives the apostles the power to forgive sins on earth. This ministry comes down to us in the Sacrament of Confession. Our Bishops who are in direct succession to the first Apostles ordain priests to absolve the sins of those who come to him. There is a good guide to making your confession, Everyone Can, No One Should and Some Ought to… speak me if you want to find out more.Click here for the Scripture Readings. Thank you to Fr Paschal for celebrating and preaching on Sunday while I am away.
