This Sunday is the 24th in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel reading Jesus teaches that ‘If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me’ Hard words to hear but they lead us to life with him in its fullness.  Click here for the Scripture Readings.


This Saturday, the 11th September at 2pm
The annual charity walk for the Ashanti Development who help the lives of the poorest in Ghana. Each year they begin their walk from our church with a blessing. If you are free come and greet them.

Holy Cross Day
Tuesday 14th September, Solemn Mass and Benediction at 6.30pm followed by drinks. At this mass Fr James will be vested in our new red chasuble for the first time. This beautiful antique vestment was generously given to Old S.Pancras by Adrian Furnham in memory of his mother. Please speak to Fr James if you would like to donate a sacred vestment in memory of a loved one.

Our Lady of Copacabana 
On Saturday the 18th September at 2pm the Bolivian community in London will be gathering in Old S.Pancras for their annual celebration of the Virgin of Copacabana. There will be a Solemn mass in the presence of their image of the Virgin and singing of a traditional Bolivian hymn to Mary. All are welcome.

Coffee and Brass 
Please join Nicolas on Saturday mornings for a spot of brass cleaning accompanied by coffee and conversation. Simply drop in between 10.30-11.30am to help keep our church looking beautiful.

Old S.Pancras Wine Cellar
Wine is served at many of our social events during the year and on Tuesdays after mass. Our cellar now needs restocking. Please bring any of your unwanted bottles or consider donating a bottle or two regularly. Hospitality is a vital part of our mission and outreach, but it isn’t without cost.
