Parish News for the 1st Week in Ordinary Time

Weekly News

This Sunday is the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. Jesus seeks baptism in the River Jordan at the hands of John the Baptist and when he comes out of the water, a voice is heard from heaven saying, ‘You are my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on you.’  This points us towards the truth that we and all the Baptised throughout the world and across the ages are beloved sons and daughters of God through his Son, Jesus. Choir Sundays
Each year our worship is beautified by a choir singing the Mass at Christmas, Easter and a few festivals. We would like to enjoy a choir on a few more Feast days during the year but to do this we need to raise about £2,500 in order to have choral music approximately once a month. If you would like to make a one-off or regular donation to the music fund, please speak to Fr James.

A Walk through the Mass
Each Tuesday after Benediction we will walk through a different part of the mass for 20mins over a glass of wine. A great opportunity to ask questions on what we do in church and why.

Coffee and Brass Group
Each Saturday after the 10am Mass, Nicolas will be brass cleaning. Please join him to keep our church looking beautiful. Free coffee and cake provided and all levels of expertise are welcome!
