Parish News for the 2nd Week of Christmas

December 28, 2023 by James Elston in Weekly News

This Sunday is the Feast of the Holy Family.
During this Christmas season we not only celebrate God becoming one of us as a baby but also choosing a family as the place of his birth and growth thus sanctifying the family as a place where faith is nurtured and grows. Click here for the Scripture Readings.

Parish Supper
Saturday 13th January 6pm An evening in church to be together in the dark days of January. A hot meal will be served, please bring your own drinks. There is no charge to come but please book your place on the sign up sheet after mass. Leaving the parish
Most of you will know by now that I have been appointed the next Vicar of All Hallows Gospel Oak which means the time has come for me to leave this parish. It is a time of mixed feelings. I am looking forward to a new chapter in my priestly ministry but I will also be sad to leave a place and people I love, my last Sunday will be the 10th March.
The Bishop will Institute me as Vicar of All Hallows at mass on the evening of the 8th April and I hope many of you will come to support me. Please pray for me as I will continue to pray for you,

Epiphany

Sunday 7th January we will celebrate Epiphany at both S. Pancras Old Church and S. Paul’s. There will be a bring-and- share lunch after Mass at S. Paul’s from 12pm. All welcome.

Please give regularly!
Giving regularly supports our ministry and keeps the doors open everyday of the year for all. I If you are a UK taxpayer then we can also claim gift aid and increase your donation. If you feel that our church life feeds your faith then please support us Click here to sign up. Every little helps….
