Parish News for the 3rd Week of Easter

April 26, 2023 by James Elston in Weekly News

This Sunday is the Third in Eastertide. In the Gospel reading the Risen Christ walks alongside two of his disciples on their way to Emmaus, but they do not recognise him until they are eating supper and he blesses and breaks bread for them. The Supper at Emmaus is the first celebration of mass after the resurrection. We too see Jesus when bread is offered and blessed in every. Click here for the scripture readings.
